One Piccadilly Gardens
The confined city centre location created substantial challenges in terms of coordination and access, and a significant amount of pre-fabrication was required.
A diagonal passageway cuts through the main elevation, providing a new public route into the landscaped Piccadilly Gardens and a spacious central atrium allows natural light to flood into the heart of the building. Carillion helped to bring new life to a previously under-used and outdated area of Manchester city centre through the construction of the landmark seven-storey mixed-use development at One Piccadilly Gardens.
Working closely with Argent Estates and its architects and engineers, we created a high quality development that incorporates 152,000 sq ft of prime office space, ground floor retail and restaurant facilities and double-basement car parking.
